Today we`d like to show you how to make an origami craft — a beautiful Christmas Tree which can be a cute picture gift to your friends or relatives. The full description of its making is given in a master class. Start crafting and you`ll see it won`t be difficult but exciting.

Origami Christmas Tree
Materials and instruments:
— colored carton
— colored paper
— foil paper
— puncher in the shape of a star or a ready set of stars

MAKING

Odd Tier of the Tree

This tier is called odd as the number of fir branches is odd — three. Both odd tiers are made alike. The upper tier is made from a square of colored paper with the side 9,5 cm, the lower — 11 cm.
1. Mark the diagonals. Turn over (Fig. 1).
2. Mark the lines. Turn over (Fig. 2).
3. Combine all dots (Fig. 3).
4. The basic form is a «double triangle». Mark the line on the upper paper layer (Fig. 4).

5. Fold the crease «zipper» (Fig. 5).
6. The odd tier is ready (Fig.6).

Even Tier of the Tree

The upper and lower even tiers are made alike. The upper tier is made from a colored paper square with the side 10 cm, the lower one — 12 cm.
1. Mark the diagonals. Turn over (Fig. 7).
2. Mark the lines. Turn over (Fig. 8).
3. Combine the dots (Fig. 9).
4. The basic form is a «double triangle». Mark the lines on the upper paper layers. The marked creases make the «mountain» crease (Fig. 10).
5. Smooth the crease «mountain» and attach to the middle line. Smooth all the formed creases well (Fig. 11).
6. The even tier is ready (Fig. 12).

Candle

The Christmas Tree is decorated with 8 candles. For making one candle you`ll need a rectangle in size 0,8 — 1,6 cm from foil paper.
1. Place the rectangle its foil side back. Mark the given line (Fig. 13).
2. Fold in the dotted lines (Fig. 14).
3. Fold in the dotted lines. Turn over (Fig. 15).
4. Combine the dots. The flame height is chosen as desired (Fig. 16).
5. Bend back in the marked lines (Fig. 17).
6. The Candle is ready (Fig. 18).

Top Star

For making the star you`ll need three foil paper squares with the side 2 cm. Fold all the squares as shown in Fig. 19 and 20.
1. Combine the dots. The first and the third elements are made in this way (Fig. 19).
2. The result (Fig. 20).
3. Put the first element in the middle of the second, glue them. Turn (Fig. 21).
4. Glue the third element from above the first two (Fig. 22).
5. The Top Star is ready (Fig. 23).

Trunk

The Trunk is made from the square of brown paper with 5 cm side.
1. Mark the line (Fig. 24).
2. Bend the strip (Fig. 25).
3. Bend in the marked lines. Turn over (Fig. 26).
4. The Trunk is ready (Fig. 27).

Small Stars

Make small stars with a puncher or use the ready ones from Christmas sets.

ASSEMBLY

1. Fir-tree.
— Assemble the tree from 4 tiers.
— Glue the trunk to the tree.
2. Top Star.
3. Candles.
4. Small stars.

Advice: glue the candles evenly throughout the tree.
This lovely Fir-tree can be used as a Christmas picture or a beautiful volume Christmas card.

I think it`s a bit complicated though beautiful. I like simpler crafts.
