To create this volume poodle dog, you'll need wider strips of paper than the ones used in the traditional quilling.

These strips of paper can be cut from plain paper. Start creating the dog making its head for which you'll need 3 paper strips 5 mm. broad. From twisted strips shape a curved cone in size not more than 2,5 cm.

Now take 3 strips 3 mm. broad and shape a convex spiral. Glue the workpieces together as shown.

A pink nose will turn out from 1/4 of the strip 3 mm. broad. Glue the nose to its place.

Further make the dog's neck: roll a wide 15 mm. strip into a tubule till 7 mm. in a diameter and glue the tip. Make the dog-collar from a red strip pulling back from the edge a couple of millimetres.

From orange strips 2 mm. broad roll a locket and gue it to the strap collar.

To make the dog's body take a strip 3,5 cm broad. Wrap the pencil with this strip till a cylinder with the diameter 15 mm. turns out. On both sides of the body glue a bit convex spirals formed from the strips 3 mm. broad.

Gluing the two workpieces together, you'll have a part like a dog.

To make poodle's tail take 1/4 part of the strip 10 mm. broad and wind it round a toothpick. As a result you'll have an elongated spiral 3,5 cm long. Glue the tail to its place.

Make the 4 dog's legs in the same way. Now cut each leg a little diagonally so that they can be easily glued to the rounded dog's body.

Start making the fringe: take a strip 8 mm. broad from which cut a fringe.

One strip is enough for 4 legs: divide it into 4 parts. Wrap each leg with a strip with fringe and grease the legs with glue well.

After gluing the fringe to all the legs, straighten it and glue the legs to the body.

Now take the strip 10 mm. broad, cut a fringe and divide it into 4 parts. Make pompons from each strip part and attach them to each part of poodle's head.

Glue 2 similar pompons to the tip of the tail.

For the front part of the dog, take a strip 10 mm broad with a fringe and make a front shoulder of the dog.

For the rear part you'll need 2 similar details, but of a smaller size made from half of the alike strip.

Further take half of a wide strip (15 mm.) and cut a fringe, roll it and glue on the top of the head. Don't forget to straighten the glued fringe.

Draw the eyes using a marker or a gel pen.
