You can`t but admire this cute creature — it`s a Leggy Frog from paper. If you wish to have it, start doing — use quilling technique, a bit of persistence and diligence and your efforts will be rewarded. These lovely creatures look charming when sitting, but you can turn them into simple dolls, if you fasten them with strong thread or elastic. The frogs` «arms» and legs will hang out in an incredible way to joy the others. Let`s get to work.

You`ll need:

about 12 dark green strips 10 mm wide,
about 25 dark green strips 3 mm wide,
15 light green strips 3 mm wide,
3 black strips 3 mm wide,
straw for cocktail,
PVA glue,
thin scissors,
wooden skewer.

What you do:

1. To make the body, take about 8 dark green strips 10 mm wide and form a conical spiral about 4,5 cm in height.

2. For making a head take the dark green strips 3 mm wide and roll up a tight coil. Go on adding the strips by one till the coil diameter equals 2,25 cm. Add a light green strip to mark the mouth.
3. Squeeze the tight coil forming a bowl, cover the internal surface with the layer of glue. Till it dries, shape the coil.

4. You have to make 2 coils. Glue them together so that the mouth can be a bit open. Drip a drop of glue on the outer edge of the upper coil and on the inner edge of the lower one; wait a little and stick the coils.
5. For making eyes wind a light strip 3 mm wide round the pencil to make a ring. Glue the tip. Make one more ring of a bigger size — its diameter should be about 2 cm.

6. Roll up a white strip 3 mm wide and 2 mm long. Put it on the table so that the coils unwind a bit, squeeze to make it flat.
7. Roll up a black strip 3 mm wide into a tight coil. Don`t roll up it to the end. When about 8 cm is left, insert a tiny white coil and go on twisting the black one. Glue the tip and you`ll have an eye with light gleam.

8. Make one more eye with light gleam, a bigger one. This time you`ll need 2 black strips. Glue the black eye into the green ring. Stick the eyes to the head.
9. To make the «arms» and legs use the strips 3 mm wide. For «arms» use the quarter of their length; for legs — their third. Twist them like tendrils and on the one end stick to them the tubules made from a quarter of a 10 mm strip wound round the straw for cocktail.

10. Use 3 mm strips to make the palms and feet. From them you`ll make 12 spicas. One out of 3 spicas for a feet is made of a long strip. Then cut the rest of the strips. Each spica for a palm needs about halh the strip length. Work up each spica with a wooden 15 mm rod, as shown in the figure.
