Dear craftmakers, we`ve already told you how to make nice pictures in the quilling technique. This time it`ll be a Christmas quilling card. If you think it`s complicated, then you are mistaken. To make this quilling card won`t be difficult and it`ll take a little time. But the result will gladden you and your relatives who`ll be nicely surprised to get this card as a gift or an invitation to the Christmas party made by your own hands. The attached step by step photos will certainly help you.

What you`ll need:
basis for the card;
white embossed paper;
blue design paper;
PVA glue;
blue paper for quilling;
toothpick or a wooden skewer;
ruler;
glitter glue (at will).

HOW TO MAKE
You can make the card basis from dense design cardboard. From blue cardboard cut 3 squares with the side 4 cm and three squares with the side 3,5 cm from white embrossed paper.

Stick the squares horizontally onto the workpiece a bit higher its middle — the spacings from card edges should be equal. To make the work easier it`s better to glue the white squares onto the blue ones beforehand and then stick the ready elements to the card.

The color of the paper for the snowflakes should be close to the color of the lower squares. Take a strip of paper for quilling and a skewer, twist the strip onto the skewer tip. Take the made spiral off the skewer and put it into the circle on the ruler, glue the tip. Make 12 similar free spirals.

Take a spiral and squeeze its edges to make a snowflake petal. You`ll have the shape of an «eye» which imitates the snowflake petal well.

Glue six petals in the form af a flower on the outside squares.

Now make the shape of a «horn» — take a strip half of the petal strip length, fold it in two.

Twist one edge outward, then the other one outward and you`ll have a «horn».

Stick the «horns» in the center and glue them between the snowflake petals.

Make small free spirals and stick them between the «horns». Now the snowflake looks like a real one.

Make two similar snowflakes.

For the middle square cut a Christmas tree and its foot from blue paper. Stick them together.

Stick the tree on the middle square.

We recommend to decorate the snowflake and Christmas tree with tinsels to make the card look more festive and bright. Or you can use glitter glue putting it on the Tree and snowflakes.

From embrossed paper cut a rectangle and write the greeting inscription. If you can`t write nicely, then print the words on a piece of paper, cut them and glue on the card. Our Christmas card is ready.
