A kind of manual art when thin paper strips turn into wonderful volume crafts is attractive and useful both for children and adults. Be sure, you'll create such beautiful quilled trees. But first you are to make the necessary quilled modules: drops, eyes, petals like shown in the pictures. Prepare paper of green, brown and other required colors, a ruler, a pencil. And start working with the help of the following pictured hints.






To make a volume quilled tree prepare 10-12 brown paper strips. Glue them on a cardboard base and shape a trunk and branches. Then decorate the tree with «drop» modules.




The tree trunk can be made from quilled circles, drops and squares using the paper of different colors.


The next pictures will show you how to make a nice quilled spruce.




You'll Need: a number of white paper strips 5 mm width, 50-60 curved petals of green, yellow and orange colors, a cardboard sheet, a black marker.
Making:
1. To make a birch trunk put white paper strips in a stack and glue them together levelling their edges beforehand.
2. Glue one side of the made workpiece and join it with a cardboard sheet.
3. The upper part consisting of separate strips are straightened carefully and glued like a thick crown.
4. Put multicolor petals on the birch branches and glue them at random.
5. With a black marker draw vertical lines on a trunk. The quilled birch is ready.

Materials:
— brown and black «quilling eyes» and «curved petals»,
— light and dark green spirals of different diameters,
— a cardboard base.
Making:
1. With a pencil draw an oak trunk and branches on a base.
2. The drawing space is filled with the quilling modules of brown and black colors.
3. Outline the approximate volume of the oak crown with a pencil.
4. The crown is filled with spirals at random.
Keep in mind: all the quilling parts should be placed on the base as nearer to each other as possible.

Shape the trunk for the tree from black or other color of paper.
