Thank You Jesus
by Sheiresa McRae

Thank you Jesus, for loving me,
You died on the cross, and set me free.
They buried you, and went away,
But you rose again on the third day.
Very soon you will come again,
And I will live with you in heaven.
Thank you for dying on Calvary.
Thank you Jesus, for loving me.

Easter Is Coming

Easter is coming,
Spring is on its way
Hens getting ready
For eggs to lay

Flowers all growing,
Bright and tall
Little lambs born,
Fluffy and small

A time for hope
And a time for prayer
New beginnings
And warmer air

The Easter bunny
And chocolate treats
Egg rolling, hunts
And lots of sweets!

Easter Day
by Evaleen Stein

Christ the Lord is risen to-day!
Angels rolled the stone away
From the tomb wherein He lay!

Little children, come and sing,
«Glory, glory to the King,
Christ the Lord of everything!»

Easter Eggs
by Leanne Guenther

Pretty little eggs I'll make — Some pink, some green, some blue.

Then she'll crack one and he'll crack one,
And I'll crack one for you!

Easter Bunny
by Kaitlyn Guenther

There once was a nice Easter bunny
He hopped around looking very funny
He injured his leg
While hiding an egg
Then he didn't feel very sunny

I saw a little bunny
going hop, hop, hop.
I said, «Please, Mr. Bunny,
won't you stop, stop, stop.»
He flapped his big, long ears
and had no word to say,
And before I could get near him
he had hop, hop, hopped away!

I got a chocolate rabbit
For an Easter treat,
A great big chocolate rabbit,
Good enough to eat.
So I ate his ears on Sunday,
his nose I finished Monday,
Tuesday I nibbled on his feet.
I ate his tail on Wednesday,
Thursday I kept on,
By Friday he was going,
Saturday he was gone.
Oh, I loved that chocolate rabbit,
From the moment that he came,
And if I get another one,
I'll love him just the same.

Hop, Hop, Hop

Hop, hop, hop,
Hop my bunny hop,
Hop along my little bunny
You look sweet and very funny

Look and see,
Where the eggs may be,
Here is one and here's another,
Here's a lovely one for mother.

Let us look and see,
Where the eggs may be.
Here, there, where are they
Let's find out on Easter Day

Bunnies are brown
Bunnies are white
Bunnies are always
An Easter delight.

Bunnies are cuddly
Large as well as small.
But I like the chocolate ones
The sweetest of them all.

Easter Surprise

Easter eggs,
Yellow and blue,
Easter eggs,
For me and you.

Easter eggs,
Candy sweet,
Easter eggs,
Are yum to eat.

Easter eggs,
Pretty and funny,
But… where is the Easter Bunny?

Some Things That Easter Brings

Some Things That Easter Brings
Easter duck and Easter chick,
Easter eggs with chocolate thick.

Easter hats for one and all,
Easter Bunny makes a call!

Happy Easter always brings
Such a lot of pleasant things.

by Ena Hawken
Every little bunny
Has a habit that is funny.
It doesn’t matter where he goes
He always wrinkles up his nose.

by Julian

Spots and stripes,
Very bright,
Easter Eggs are alike.
Here he comes!
He might be funny,
It is the Easter Bunny.

My kindergarten kids like this pretty poem:

Finding a Treat

Hippy hop, hippity hop.
Will the Easter Bunny stop?
Will he leave a treat behind,
An Easter basket for me to find?

I’ll look over here,
I’ll look over there,
I’ll look behind things,
I’ll look everywhere
I’ll look until I find my treat,
And then I’ll sit right down and eat.
