Poems and verses always help to express our thoughts and emotions better and more precisely. And if we want to say something dear to our mothers, poems are the best way to do it. If you can`t write poetry yourselves, here are some poems about darling mothers — you can read, learn and recite them or write on the cards to give with the gifts on Mother`s Day.

Art for children. Poems about Darling Mother

My Mum
by Racheal Mcleod

A Mother is one who
understands the things
you say and do

Who always overlooks
your faults and sees the
best in you

A Mother is one whose
special love inspires you
day by day.

Who fills your heart with
gladness in her warm
and thoughtful way.

A Mother is all these things
and more — the greatest
treasure known.

And the dearest Mother in
all of the world is the one I
call my own.

Wonderful Mother
by Pat O'Reilly

God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;

He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;

In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;

God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.

What is a Mother?
by Anonymous

A mother is someone who loves you
Who cares for you in every way
She sits down and listens
to what you have to say

She always thinks your beautiful
Never puts you down
She always has a smile
To wipe away your frown

A mother is someone who believes in you
Always pushes you to go far
Tells you to believe in yourself
No matter who you are

A mother is like an angel
Although without the wings
She tells you to enjoy
Life's most smallest things

I really love my mother
She means so much to me
Mommy I really love you
And that's how it always will be.

A Mother's Love
by Michael O. Adesanya

There are times only when a Mother's love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappointments
And calm all our fears.

There are times when only a Mother's Love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we've dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.

There are times when only a Mother's faith
Can help on life's way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.

For a Mother's heart and a Mother's faith
And a Mother's steadfast love
Were fashioned by the Angels
And sent from God above…

My Mum
by Racheal Mcleod

My Mum she's a star
she's very hard working
I tell her I love her she says it back
and she never stops smurking

She's my one and only Mum
she takes me to my favorite store
She buys me heaps of presents
and that just makes me love her more

She loves drinking coke
she drinks it a heaps
She likes playing the computer
and sometimes she doesn't get any sleep

She gets a bit annoying
but that's what I love about her
She kicks the ball like a man
so I call her sir

My Mum has eight kids
that is a lot
But she loves all of us equally
and none of us sleep in cots

She's my Mum
and I love her much more than I can explain
She's the bestest thing in my life
and in some ways we are the same.

Mother's Love

Her love is like
an island in life's ocean,
vast and wide
A peaceful, quiet shelter
From the wind, the rain, the tide.
'Tis bound on the north by Hope,
By Patience on the West,
By tender Counsel on the South
And on the East by Rest.
Above it like a beacon light
Shine Faith, and Truth, and Prayer;
And thro' the changing scenes of life
I find a haven there.

Only One Mother

Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of lambs in the sunny weather.
Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the world wide over.

And Grandma's too…
While we honor all our mothers
with words of love and praise.
While we tell about their goodness
and their kind and loving ways.
We should also think of Grandma,
she's a mother too, you see…
For she mothered my dear mother
as my mother mothers me.
