Learn to draw for kids step by step. Sunset on an Exotic Island
Will you have a look at the picture below? It's lovely, isn't it? Let's try to draw it together. Here's a step by step drawing lesson which will be a kind of guide for you.

Draw with gouache.
Step 1
Cover the table with a newspaper or a piece of film. On a white paper sheet put some paint of red and yellow colors.

Go on drawing with gouache.
Step 2
While the paint is wet, with a wide brush color stripes from the paint moving the brush only ahead and left.

Step 3
You should make a smooth transition from one color to another.

Step 4
Draw a black line horizontally, over it draw the sun and under it — the sun reflection in water as a circle consisting of the spots elongated in the longitudinal direction. Pay attention: the reflection in the water is always of the same size as the object itself and they are always on the same distance from the skyline.

Step 5
Using a thin brush, with black paint draw palms and grass on the skyline. Draw the palm leaves with paint strokes.

Step 6
If the water in the sea is calm, the reflection should be like in the mirror. But if there are waves on the water, draw the reflected object with intermittent strokes.
