Veterans Day Crafts. Patriotic Handmade Gifts for Veterans
A handmade card is a cute gift to show your love to a granddad veteran. Write down the words of gratitude on it, but if you are too small and can't write, then your handprint on the card will be good. And your card gifts may be like these ones:

Your mom may help you with drawing a vase.

Make your imagination work! Your cards may be different, showing ships, rockets, planes — everything that your loved grandpa likes. Preschoolers and schoolchildren can create more complicated card gifts:

A veteran will be glad to get a small gift from his grandchild made by his own hands and keeping the warmth of his hands and the love of his heart. This craft gift may be created from everything children can find on hand.

A boring frame will find a new life if it's decorated with bolts, screw-nuts and buttons. A frame with tools or a hammer will be a useful gift for a veteran who's fond of handicrafts.

From some match boxes one can create a lovely Truck:

The kid can make ingenious crafts by himself from corks, bottle caps using wire, colored paper and glue.

Your cute gift for a veteran is ready, and now it's time to think of gift packaging. These wonderful boxes-shirts, especially if they're made by your own hands, will decorate your gifts. Besides, creating these boxes will be fun and give you an hour of unforgettable creativity.

— templates of the box, tie and butterfly,
— colored cardboard or thick paper of any desired color,
— scissors,
— pencil,
— glue,
— needle for punching the fold lines,
— double sided tape.

Take a sheet of white paper and print the template. Cut out the parts. Place the template on the cardboard and trace it with a pencil. Cut out the details of the box, fold and fasten them as shown in the instruction.
While making this box, the main is to punch 3 lines which are on the sides and converge at one point. If the lines are punched well, the box will be folded well.
You've made the box, now decorate it: glue a tie or a butterfly on it. Together with the tie glue three small circles from colored paper portraying the buttons. Put your gift inside the box and glue with double sided tape.
One gift box can be made from paper sheet A4. Such a box is good for a small gift. Otherwise you'll have to print the template on a large format printer.

You can even make a Train for your grandpa veteran. Though your granddad is an adult, he'll like the train and you'll play with it together.

— 2 transparent plastic bottles,
— 4 bottle caps,
— 4 cocktail straws,
— 2 thin sticks a bit longer than straws,
— paints on glass,
— glue for plastic.
1. Take the bottle caps and drill holes in them.

2. Glue the sticks and insert them into the caps on one side.

3. Put the tubules for cocktail onto the sticks.

4. Put the bottle caps on the other side of the sticks. Now you've got the wheels.

5. Take the plastic bottles and connect them with the coctail tubules as shown in the main photo.
6. Glue the wheels beneath.
7. Paint the train. If you have no special paints, then pictures and colored paper may be glued.
The train from plastic bottles is ready!
Train can be made from one bottle or a milk carton.

From a plastic bottle a cute Dog on the wheels and a protruding tongue can be made.

Your granddad veteran will be pleased to get a nice plane from a plastic bottle. The scheme of making is given below:

We are sure veterans will be glad to get some of these crafts from you as gifts on Veterans Day.
Happy Veterans Day!
