For the people who value craftsmanship we'd like to offer this cute craft for kids — a Crocheted Spring Tree. We hope this idea will deserve your attention as this nice tree may be a glorious gift on March 8th or simply a smart decor of your home.

For its making one can need green yarn «grass», white, pink or red acrylic yarn [iris type], a crocheting hook, beads, foam plastic, a flowerpot, a twig, golden spray lacquer, plaster.
Out of the yarn «grass» crochet a ball of the needed size. Start with a chain 5-6 loops, crocheting by the circle.
Row 1 — 10 columns, row 2 — 20, in every next row add the columns gradually: in the third — after 2 columns, in the 4th — after 3, in the 5th — after 4 and so on.
When you've made the needed diameter, crochet 2-3 rows without adding. Then start diminishing the columns according to the same scheme. If your yarn is «grass», you may not follow the scheme very strictly as the crocheting isn't clearly seen. The main here is the ball should have a regular form.
The ball diameter is as desired — it'll be the tree crown. Don't crochet to the end, leave the hole, so that you can push the hand inside. Don't tear the thread off.

Crochet the flowers out of red and pink yarn — 12 or 15 flowers. Fix a piece of wire to each. You may do without the wire, then it's necessary to leave a long thread end of each flower.

Attach the flowers to the ball with wire, twisting it from the wrong side. You may simply sew the flowers.

Distribute the flowers on the surface of the future tree crown.

When all the flowers have taken their places, fill the ball with small pieces of foam plastic. Then crochet the ball almost to the end, leaving a small hole, where a trunk will be fastened. Leave a 10-15 cm end of the yarn.

As a result you may have such a tree. It's quite cute, isn't it? A round cactus can be made in such a way, but the number of the flowers should be fewer:)

Put a stick in the middle, it'll be a trunk. You may cover it with golden lacquer beforehand or you simply clean the twig and cover it with transparent lacquer for nails.

Crochet a circle out of green yarn — it'll cover the flowerpot. We made it in the following way: took 10 loops, closed them in a circle [a hole should be in the middle like a trunk diameter]. The first row — 20 columns in a circle, in the next row — 40 columns, the third — 60 columns, then 2 more rows in the circle, adding columns if necessary, so that the workpiece may be flat and not tighten. The circle should be the diameter of the flowerpot. Put it on the trunk, hiding the plaster.

If the twig isn't even, you may make a bud on it — wind the twig end with green yarn and fasten the thread ends with pins.

We crocheted one more flower out of thinner white yarn and sewed it to the green bud.

When the plaster has dried, put the tree crown on the trunk, winding it round with the thread for firmness; the thread end is hidden inside the crown.
The tree is ready!
