We thought you may like to have a go at this cute children craft — an original gift wrapping "A Box-Balloon". It's good for wrapping such gifts whose shape and size can't make it possible to pack with wrapping paper.
What You Need:
— A balloon of the suitable size
— A big cotton yarn hank
— Acrylic paint
— transparent glue
— a pricker or a screw-driver
— a long piece of string, lace or satin ribbon
Wind the threads round the balloon chaotically — in all directions. Beforehand, in some places of the balloon put some drops of P V A glue so as to fix the first thread layers.

The preparatory stage is finished, when the initial color of the balloon isn't seen through the threads.

Using an old tooth brush cover thickly acrylic paint on the balloon surface. Don't be economical with paint — it doesn't only give the color, but also serves as a linking material for all the layers, providing the construction firmness.

Hang the painted balloon on the thread and allow to dry it the whole night.

In the morning pierce the balloon and take it out of the dried cocoon. The made ball is cut in two — stretch the thread of the contrast color along the ball perimeter, tie it tight and cut along the made line with a sharp writing knife [it's desirable to stretch the thread covering the hole, where the balloon was taken out, so as to disguise it carefully then].

With a pricker or a screw-driver punch symmetrical pair holes in the both halves of the cocoon.
Cover the inner part of the ball with art-paper or textile decorative petals, put gifts and cover them with art-paper from above too.

Through the made holes put the bright lace or ribbon, lacing it up crosswise. The ribbon ends are pulled out of the last pair of holes and tied into a bow.
