Art for children. We are pretty sure that art activities interest you greatly as they bring hours of fun to your children. We were impressed with this interesting technique — Quilling or paper twisting, when we first got acquainted with it. And we advise you to try it, too — a lot of cute things can be made out of paper. There's nothing complicated in Quilling; carefulness and patience are the only things needed.
For making a Flower in the Flowerpot out of paper we needed:
— colored paper [light green, pink, orange and white]
— scissors
— a toothpick
— a wine cork
— P V A glue

First make a gadget, which will help twist paper strips: stick a toothpick into a cork.

Let's start.
1. Cut 6 strips 4 mm in width out of orange paper.

2. Splinter a toothpick, put paper into it and wind.

3. Putting a strip on the table, allow it to untwist slightly.

4. Fasten the loose end with glue.
5. Clutch the ring from one side with the fingers, so as to make such petals.

6. Stick 3 strips [7 mm] out of white paper [a flower core] and cut them slightly across at full length [on 2/3].

7. Repeat points 1,3,4 with 2 light green paper strips. To make the leaves, clutch the paper rings from both sides.

8. Out of light green paper [6 mm] make a stem.

9. A pink 1,5 cm strip is the base of the flowerpot [a border can be made out of white paper]: you'll need 3 strips glued together, twist them tightly, pressing with a finger pull them out. «Inside» of the flowerpot pour some glue; the bottom is made out of paper circle.

10. 1 cm light green strip is grass [it's cut like the flower core].

Assembling: stick all the parts together. The wonderful flower is made!
