Nutrition for children . If you've got a spare hour or two and want to treat your dear kids with something homemade, then use this recipe and prepare tasty muffins. By the way, it's a nice opportunity to encourage your elder children to help you and learn cooking.

Family Popular Recipes — Muffins


Ingredients for 12 muffins:


— 375 gr of flour,
— 65 gr of sugar,
— 1 table spoon of baking powder,
— 1/2 teaspoon of salt,
— 1 egg,
— 225 ml of milk,
— 75 gr of melted butter or margarine,
— 1 teaspoon of vanilla assence.

You can add a number of products into the dough: juicy berries, apples and even chocolate pieces. To make the dough more delicate, mix the wet and dry ingredients carefully (at the end of mixing the flour should be wet).

1. Heat up the oven till 200 deg. Grease the baking dish for muffins with oil. In a large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In a small bowl whip up an egg, milk, melted butter and vanilla assence. Add this mixture into the flour. Knead quickly (the mixture will be lumpy).

2. Pour the mixture into the baking dish for muffins. Bake 20-25 min. Take the muffins out of the baking dish. Dish up warm. If needed, the muffins may be warmed.

Prepare the dough for muffins using the main recipe, then add one of the following products:

Muffins with bilberries or raspberries: Add 150 gr. of bilberries or raspberries.

Muffins with the chocolate pieces: Add 150 gr. of chocolate pieces.

Muffins with walnuts or pecan: Add 60 gr. of frying walnuts or pecan. Before frying the nuts sprinkle them with sugar a little.

Orange muffins: Add to the dry ingredients 1 teaspoon of grated orange peel. Before frying sprinkle it a bit with sugar.
