Perhaps, you won`t agree with me, but it`s my firm conviction — to be parents isn`t easy as you are not only the people who have given life to the baby but also educators, nurses, psychologists, doctors, cooks, faithful and dependable friends, everybody to him. From his early years the baby`s education and development should become the parents` main concern. They should know a lot about the kid`s education. And this material — games for babies, infant acquaintance with the outward things will certainly help those parents who are greatly interested in acquiring knowledge about children`s upbringing.

The baby was born and… began to cry. He doesn`t know anybody here, doesn`t know what to do. Let`s help him to enter the unknown and frightening world literally playing. We offer you a good selection of games for babies aged 0 till 12 months. Through the game the child acquaints with the outer world — he looks into our eyes, examines and tastes his little fingers; with every passing month babies abilities grow and the game rules will become more complicated.

Age 0-3 months: grimace

Now you are without a rival his only and favorite toy: you stick out your tongue — he sticks out his. Turn your head
right then left and look if your kid does the same.
Then it`s his turn to come up with the rules: if he opens his eyes wide — you do the same. In this way you not only rejoice together but also remember each other`s faces, their expressions, lay down firm relations for life.
Remember: play only when the baby is receptive, calm, wakes up fully from sleep and is ready for communicating. If he looks at you with interest, then you may begin. If he cries, turns away, buckles his back or fidgets, leave him alone and try to play with him later.

4-5 months: spin
At this age not only mimicry but also other body parts work. The baby begins to try his strength and develop movement coordination. Help your kid acquire this skill: put your hands under the baby`s shoulder blades and roll him back and forth slightly. When he turns out on his back once again, stop and let him roll over on his stomach.
Remember: make this activity even more joyful singing a simple melody and rolling him over on his stomach to the beat, as if it`s a dance lying. Soon these songs will become his favorite melodies.

6 months: hide

At half-year age kids aren`t sure in the constancy of the world — it`s the very time for playing hide and seek. The favorite person`s disappearance and then appearance is a great joy giving confidence in tomorrow. Cover the face with a handkerchief and wait till the kid take it off. Perhaps, in the beginning he can`t understand that you are still here but when he sees your face, its recognition gets laughs. You also can hide his favorite or soft toy under the blanket. And the disapperance of the whole world, when you cover the baby`s face and then take the handkerchief away and everything will fall into place enraptures him.
Remember: make something to bring his smile but don`t hurry to repeat the liked action. You`ll see how your baby will reach for you as if saying, «Mum, do it once more.» And when you grant the request, the baby will be greatly pleased with his ability to manipulate grown-ups.

8-9 months: look for and find

Now it`s simply necessary to talk to your baby constantly. Dislike the husband he`ll be sincerely happy that his mum twitters and twitters. Talk to your kid about everything you do, name the surrounding things distinctly. At this age the baby is responsive to the words he hears often at home, e.g. pet`s nickname. On hearing «Where`s Spot?» the kid looks around searching for the dog. Ask the baby to give you one of his favorite toy and wait till he crawls and takes it.
Remember: if the kid finds the ball you`ve asked him for, confirm the correctness of his actions and success with delight, «You`ve found your ball!» This gives the baby confidence in his strength and the feeling of satisfaction. Be ready that as soon as the kid likes being praised, he`ll want to play this game again and again.

12 months: make inferences

Now the nervous system and brain have developed enough to join the intellectial games — form stable logical links and compare. At the age of about a year the kid begins to differentiate such notions as something big and small, up and down, near and far. Walk with a child and ask him to show a big house and a small one, leaves high in the trees and on the ground, the lorry not far from you and in the distance and so on.
Remember: complicate the tasks constantly: it`s a pity, but the brain is our least used organ.
